Sweden has a good educational reputation. Education is free for 12 years and even after that the swedish state grants students a monthly allowance (CSN) and good loans so that they can continue their studies.

This autumn one school in the small town of Strömbäck in northern Sweden is starting a one year esports college education in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This will also grant its students the government funded allowance, basically meaning that the state will pay people for getting better at Counter-Strike.

The school describes the course with these words:

The goal is that you as a participant improve your skills in the game and develop as a team player and an individual.

All participants will be offered accommodation at the boarding school.

Classes will be conducted in clean rooms with good ventilation.

Participants agree to bring their own equipment in the form of a computer, accessories and their own chair.
