crysis är det bra

Jag finner det underhållande att läsa Laxens lama försök till en smart diskussion. Så tillåt mig:

Jag håller med zauii89, delvis för att reta dig, Laxen, och delvis för att han har delvis rätt.

Ja om du jämför med en gammal single core p4 ja då är det markant skillnad. Jag menade att det är inte särskillt stor skillnad mellan te.x en athlon x2 4200+, en E6600 och en Q6600 i crysis på högre inställningar. Grafikkortet gör den största inverkan i crysis.

Okej, du får gärna styrka din åsikt om att crysis skulle vara dåligt optimerat och att det skalar dåligt istället för att bara säga att du håller med en person som i överlag inte vet mycket om grafik och grafikmotorer och deras uppbygnad. Att säga att crysis är dåligt optimerat är bara ett sätt att klaga på att det är krävande i brist på kunskaper.

Theres some truth in his claim that people tend to set everything to high. I spoke with someone the other day who bought a *new* fancy pc. Being limited in their pc knowledge, they installed World of Warcraft on the machine and immediately max all the settings at their new 22" LCD's native resolution of 1680x1050. He comes to me asking, " Please fix it!" So knowing that Warcraft is a very modest game system wise, I take a look at his machine to find out what the issue is. I quickly browsed over his hardware and more or less it looked be a very decent machine. Quad core, 3072 memory, 2 500GB hard drives and then thats where the nice stuff stops, Nvidia 6150LE. I said, I'm sorry but your video just won't cut it man. He tells me the Best Buy associate that helped him pick out the machine said it would run Warcraft fine. I told him, yes it would but at minimum settings at 640x480. So I set the games settings according and it runs fine. He looks and me and says, "That looks like crap!"

Now even those this story is a simple case of lack of knowledge and research it is not all that dissimilar to people complaining about low performance in Crysis even on high end machines. Yes the HD3870, 8800GT/GTS and GTX all are very good video cards. Yes they can run FEAR, Half Life 2, Doom 3, Battlefield 2 maxed out without difficulty. Yes Crysis is a forward thinking game with the future in mind that requires unrealized hardware to run well at its design potential. I feel people are just spoiled with their expectations. People see the countless videos on You Tube saying things such as "Crysis Very High, 8800Gt" and you see comments like " OMG that runs so good!@!" What people fail to forget is much of the video footage and Crysis media they've been exposed to is NOT running at high resolution is NOT using high levels of anti aliasing and filtering. They see this and buy the game with the expectation of running it well on High/Veryhigh. They set their resolution to their monitors max and enable AA/AF and start the game in the hopes it will look AND run great, like they've been *promised* in all the video footage they've seen. Then you see the countless posts in forums that the game runs bad. No the game runs rather well given the amount of rendering, AI and physics systems that are being processed, it just people can't realistically expect today's hardware to run Crysis at same IQ that they play other games, 1680x1050 4x AA/ 16AF comes to mind being its quite common.

Yes we will be able to run Crysis with all the bells and whistles at high resolution at Nascar speed but that time has yet to come. I have to say I full heartily agree with past Koroush's critiques of people spamming " Thats so teh unoptimized! " each time a new demanding game is released. Sure a game can be made to run faster through more efficient drivers and patching, such, but the reality is you can't magically gain performance out of no where. You need to make sacrifices. Resolution must be lowered, level of detail used, shader and particle effects scaled. Thats just the way it is. One can't honestly expect Crysis to look a nice as we have seen in screenshots and run at 60 frames per second. It just won't happen.

Sorry for the rant but since Crysis' release, I've seen so many immature and uneducated comments such as those that I've mentioned. This isn't directed at anyone here but more so the people in other forums with the general immature attitudes like this.

Ett tips är att du bytar moderkort och skaffar nya 9 serien av NVIDIA som snart kommer till europa, kommer kosta ungefär lika mycket som 8 serien.
Kanske inte den billigaste uppgraderingen men du kommer kunna spela dom nyaste spelen ett bra tag fram

Crysis är ett måste spel för en gamer.. riktigt snyggt samt helt ok story.... klart håller kvalitet nära Bioshock och CoD4....

Ingen skilland på 9 serien mot 8 serien.. bara att de är strömsnålare samt lite bättre struktur på kortet.. Om du vill se skilland från 8 serien bör du vänta tills höst då 10 serien prototiper kommer o vid jul borde första kort lanseras...

Håller med, Oblivion är i min mening ett av de bästa spel som gjorts. Otrolig hållbarhet och spel längd, atmosfär, känsla, musik, öppenhet, möjligheter, val etc... Snyggt också. Och med moddar blir det ännu bättre. Crysis är bra, speciellt tekniskt imponerande men jag vill nog ha spelat alla 3 delar först innan jag dömer det

Nästa del kommer att ha både bättre grafik och nytt innehåll och förhoppningsvis vara lite bättre.

jojo, men det är inte konstigt att oblivion är bättre som spel med tanke på hur mycket det finns att utforska och göra och hur mycket valmöjligheter det finns, Crysis är ganska limiterat på den sidan, det är trots allt en story man måste följa i det och oblivion funkar inte på samma sätt. Dock kan man kan inte säga att det är ett bättre fps spel. För det är ju ett RPG spel.

Mja, jag tyckte Oblivion var ruggigt tråkigt. Morrowind är fina grejer det. <3

Crysis slår Oblivion även fast det är svårt att jämföra dom två.

Om man ser på längden vinner ju oblivion i vilket fall som helst det är ju ett faktum. Man får mer speltid för pengarna om man köper oblivion, dock är crysis MP borträknat. Ränkar man med det vet jag inte hur man ska se på saken. saken är som smaken delad! eller är det saken är som baken delad? :S
