Under förmiddagen dök det upp rykten om att #Project Cars missar releasedatumet i slutet av november och flyttas fram till nästa år. Ryktet bekräftas nu av #Sligtly Mad – Project Cars släpps den 20 mars 2015.
Utgivaren #Bandai Namco säger till Gamespot att förseningen gör att man slipper slåss i den stenhårda konkurrensen kring höst och jul, att förseningen "positions the title away from the competitive holiday scene dominated by household names." Ian Bell på Slightly Mad förklarar förseningen med att man får mer tid att polera spelet till önskat skick.

Whilst a tough decision to make, the change in release date allows the game the greatest chance of success and visibility, and the opportunity to polish the game even further to the high standards that both ourselves and our community demand and expect.
