Den välbesökta sidan Slashdot erbjöd för en tid sedan sina läsare att ställa frågor till [[Sid Meier]], den välrenommerade spelskaparen som är aktuell med [[Civilization IV]]. Svaren har nu publicerats och de berör bland annat varför han började skapa spel.
"I caught the computer bug in college, but never imagined that one day I would have a career making games for the computer. As a kid I really enjoyed playing board games and card games, and was interested in reading books about history, pirates, airplanes...all of which have been the topics in the games I've created."
