Background Downloader vs Torrent

Jag skrev det här inlägget i vårat guild forum tidigare idag, men jag orkar inte skriva det igen på svenska. ctrl+a, ctrl+c, ctrl+v ftw.

Citat:

The next patch (part of it) is now avilable for download via the Background Downloader. As we all know by now, it sucks. I had mine on for 30 min and got 200kb. Here is what you do. Start the download and end it as soon as you get a .torrent-file. (\World of Warcraft\Cache\BackgroundDownload.torrent) Open that in your favorit torrent software (I use µTorrentl) and start the download. After 15 min I got 40mb out of 186.

30 min with the Blizzard downloader = 200kb
15 min with µTorrent (or any other torrent) = 40mb.

Hard choice. Not.

When you are done, and if you saved it in different folder, move the *.MPQ-file to the patch folder, in this case, \World of Warcraft\Patches\WoW-2.0.0-to-2.0.3-enGB-Win-patch

Wait for next part of the patch and repeat. On patch day, just fire up WoW as usuall and it'll download the last part, usually no more then a few mb, if even that. At that point I last times used the Background Downloader.
