EcoROM
Nu så, efter flera månaders febrilt arbete börjar det ta sig. Vår egen Android-ROM börjar ta form, och saker och ting fungerar mer och mer som de ska.
Main features;
Android 4.3
Now running a fully functional 4.3 ROM. All features but HDMI output are enabled and working flawlessly. There are however some apps that act up. More about that later. Of course complete with, as you can see on the left edge, HALO and everything else you might associate with 4.3.
OTA support
The ROM will be updated Over The Air (OTA). No more digging around in forum boards or shady filesharing services to find the latest version of your favorite ROM (Mine of course!). You will receive a notification 24 hours before the update rolls out, and it will then be pushed to all users in groups of 200. If popularity risis above 5,000, the groups will change to 500. The update follows your standard Android update protocols. I am not responsible for added data costs.
Debloated the ROM.
Most stock apps are removed in the normal version. In the Light version ALL stock apps are removed. This includes Google Apps. Make sure to download our GApps package.
Splitscreen settings
You will never have to dig deep in the folder structures of the Android settings. Everything is now shared in the same screen. While it may look busy or even crowded, the user experience is working quite well.
Darkhour native support
As the night creeps up on you, the light on your screen seamlessly starts dimming to a red tone. Red light is far less likely to blind you or cause bad nightvision, over for example white or blue light. Of course your definition of 'night' is important to us, and you can set the time for when the tinting starts and stops, as well as the intensity. An example can be seen below, on a screen that would normally be pure white with "Android-blue" text and icons. This is not a brightness changer, it overlays on whatever brightness or brightness-protocol you have set in the Android settings.
Automajic screen
Don't be fooled by the name, there is nothing magic about it. Simply a flourisha of sensors and some clever programming. Simply put, don't wear that power button out! A variety of sensor combinations ensure that whenever your phone is put in your pocket, the screen turns off. When you pick it up, the screen turns on. When you put your phone on a table, the screen turns off, regardless if the screen is up and down.
QuickPeek
A system much like the one featured on the MotoX. Instead of simply flashing the phones LED, which tells you nothing, the screen will light up with a (configurable) minimum amount of information that tells you what has happened. This notification then times out after 4 seconds by default, but can be set between anything of 1 second and 5 minutes. This feature works best on AMOLED screens as the idea is to use as little power as possible. Individual pixels are obviously better purposed for this. It however works fine on any kind of screen you could be running, and the potential battery hit you might get is not even close to noticable unless you set it to a long timer.
Dual Environment
Run any two apps side by side. Text while you are on the phone, change music while youre in a video call, and more. You can even use a secondary screen (Such as a second phone or a computer) as an extension.
Charge smart
Travel a lot, spending a lot of time at airports? Tough hours at work? Hectic lifestyle? We all know it can be hard to find time to charge your oh so important companion through the day. This is why we are introducing Smart Charge. In this mode (only available when AC/USB charger is plugged in), the phone will enter a custom airplane mode. This will help it charge faster as it is using far less battery for things like reception, 3G/4G, GPS etc. What is new from a regular airplane mode, however, is that it will every 15 minutes toggle your connections on to let apps, text messages, call logs and so on update and grab their latest states. This keeps you up to date but lets your phone charge faster. Often it only completes a single cycle before being fully charged. Amazing!
Eco
Last in our list, but certaintly not least, the Eco aspect. Thanks to a ton of background changes, as well as inverting System UI, changing how the radio operates and many more changes, the battery our current test phones lasts (on average between them) 71% longer than the respective stock software!
