First impression - Microsoft + shown games

sorry att allt e på dålig engelska men nu går det för fort för att det ska va annat

Short writeup and comments about Microsofts Press Conferance and the GTE3 exclusive shows.

Microsoft started the show whit a bang, going straight into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 singleplayer. In my opinion it looked like an actionpacked map set place in New York on water and in a russian sub.
For me it looked way too much like an over the top bad Michael Bay movie(yes he have good movies but this looked like a bad one). Graphically it looked just the same. Gamplay was very scripted and nothing new. The worst part thou are without a doubt the gun sounds. They really need to work on that departement. Except that it looks like a typical COD SP experience. For me that's the only thing i'll get this for, just want to know how the trilogy ends.

Later on we got to watch a Tomb Raider demo with a 21-year old Lara Croft. The game looked amazing inside a watery cave with great detail. Everything was much darker and gritty, something that i personally like a lot. The only negative thing I have to say is when did 21-year old women start to sound like porn stars while running?

Ghost Recon Future Soldier showed us a very intuvative way to interact with kinect in TPS/FPS games. I think they did it spot-on and with a smart way to use kinect. What amazed me the most was the Gunsmith option in GRFS. Amazing detail and by far the most responsive thing i've seen for kinect to date. Looked a bit like the movie Minority Report witch was great. The customization is so extensive you can actually change the gaspistons and other inner components of the gun! Amazing!

We also got to see alot of Kinect games with a big focus on family and kids. After watching that segment i can't help but feel that Microsoft has set their sights on Nintendo. They want to come in and steal their casual audience now!
The Irony of it all thou, Nintendo got their aim on MS and Sony with Project Café if the roumors are true. Looks like the companies are becoming eachother.

And finally, Halo.
We got to see the Halo Combat Evolved Remake called Anneversary, and WOW(!) it looked great. Here we'll get to play that old Xbox classic with new graphics but with the same physics engine so it will feel just like the old game! We'll also get to play it in multiplayer with 7 classic maps!

Also, the reveal of Halo 4 by 343 Industries. First note, looked darker, more gritty and according to a Kotaku emplyee he'd heard they were gonna try to remove the purple from the Halo games, wich always been a color represented everywhere in the games. Later on Geoff Keighly had a sit-down with one of the developers from 343 where he let his toung slip and said "this is based on a completely new gfx engine" but the 343 developer tried to quiet it down by just saying they had some amazing new tech..... new console?.. Might be since the release is set for Holiday 2012.
