Rock band: world tour

So I don't know about you, but I go to YouTube to watch Guitar Hero videos a lot. I was wondering how to create a video. There are two distinct types of videos on YouTube. There's the bad quality one which is generally created by actually getting a video camera and video taping the song. However there are a couple where the video is essentially what you see on TV screen. This kind is a much higher quality and I was wondering how to make it.

Despite many people's futile attempts, using an actual video camera and putting it next to the TV will always be second to the other kind. Any help on making said kind of video would be greatly appreciated.
