Splinter Cell double agent

Efter att ha köpa splinter cell trilogin för ett tag sedan och varvat dem alla så kändes det naturligt att ge sig på Double Agent. Efter att ha köpt spelet på jobbet och kom hem och installerade det så vägrade spelet starta. Det hjälpte inte att installera den senaste patchen utan samma sak hände: Trycker på exe ikonen, spelet startar och sedan stängs den ned. Kan inte se vad som är problemet, jag uppfyller alla system krav och jag har den senaste nvidia drivrutinen 97.94.

Någon som har samma problem eller vet vad som kan vara felet, tack för all support!

har ett 8800GTX...kan det vara boven i dramat?

Unfortunately, the game refused to run on the GeForce 8800 GTX, issuing an error message all the time. This is just another indication that the new generation of Nvidia?s graphics cards is still not 100% stable and compatible with existing software. We have to wait for this problem to be corrected in the next version of ForceWare or in the next patch to Splinter Cell: Double Agent. So, owners of GeForce 8800 series cards cannot as yet enjoy this game.

Ummm...sorry bro, but I gotta call BS. As a former Intel System Engineer...who also worked in the Wireless Test Labs in Hillsboro, Oregon...I can tell you that developers and programers know about existing hardware/software years before they go to Market...hence they knew about the Nvidia chipset as well.
I was working with games that are just now coming out and we were testing them on Vista/Longhorn almost 2 years ago in May.
I am not trying to start anything with you, but as an insider on the IT industry, I flat out refuse to let you BS the consumer (all of us who can't run the game) with these types of statements when they're simply not true. Rather or not you know the truth, I am not sure...but I am telling you, that if the developers didn't know about one of the leading Video Card makers next generation model, they should all be fired immediately. Now, factor in that NONE of the 50 dollar games I've paid for by UBISOFT will run on my brand new DuoCore 2.4/8800GTS 640meg card...yet all the other games will run flawlessly...it seems the lead designer or Production Supervisor/Project Manager of the game(s) didn't do his job and Ubi had alot of pissed off clients they need to address ASAP. And I mean get a quick patch out NOW...not in 2 months which is what I am hearing for R6:Vegas is going to be Jume minimum before I can get any patch and even then...will it fix the issues? I think a HUGE piece that Ubi is missing now is a logging/crash reporting system as their name is being tarnished all over the web. Just do a search for this game and then a subsearch for "crashing" "not loading" "won't run" and a few others.

Again...I am not trying to be rude about this...but just don't say they didn't know about these cards, because I had them at Intel and I also had a slew of games that have yet to come out. Just as a FYI, we never got any advanced copies of anything from UBI...so they might think about working with development a little more since they have labs filled with technicians who would love to discover these types of bugs and help Ubi get them resolved before they get to a RTS (relase to market) stage...which would of saved alot of bad press.
