RYL 2: Guild Wars - Server Launching May 8th
NATIONS - War/Alliance
All alliances have been disabled. No guild can ally it's own nation or either of the other two nations. They can freely declare war on any guild, including guilds in their OWN nation.
Because of this we will have 3 separate nations that aren't linked to each other. We have made some adjustments to balance this out, and we are quite happy with the results:
Advantage of GP (mixed race):
- 3 auras as opposed to 2/1. Pol and Poc + Va
- Two defence buffs. TS + BA has a total of around 700 more defence at max cap than what KR or MK can achieve
- The stacking of ROT and WEAKEN in dmg reduction debuff: total of around 1200 at max stack cap extra dmg reduction done than what KR or MK can achieve
Advantage of KR (pure human race):
- Extra skill point quests. Can get up to 24 extra skillpoints (its normally 12, we have doubled this)
- Extra spawn points on Dark Caernarvon: Black Wales and Addon Gloom. (KR ONLY)
- Option to build World Weapon
Advantage of MK (pure akkan race):
- Extra skill point quests. can get up to 24 extra skillpoints (its normally 12, we have doubled this)
- Extra spawn points on Dark Caernarvon: Dark CZ and Wirtz Gloom. (MK ONLY)
- Option to build World Weapon
We have max level 125 working, but we have not yet decided if players will get from level 100 to 125 from normal mob killing or with special quests.
Highest normal leveling mob in the game is 100 when the server starts, higher level mobs will get patched in when its needed to keep the flow of the game going.
Exp rate and Drop rate
We are running this as a low exp/drop rate server. We will have higher exp rate on map 1 than on map 2. This is mainly to make the first part of the game quicker both for solo and for people who have to catch up. The main goal is to have 90% of the server on map 2 most of the time. Metal drops are limited on map 1, and normal (for our servers standard) on map2.
Blacksmith & Metals
Our blacksmith will not downgrade upon failing an upgrade. The upgrading system is like so:
- Silvins are used from +1 to +5
- Mithril are used from +5 to +8
- Iternium are used from +8 to +10.
Would like to make crystal clear that we have removed TOB's and they will never be added to this server.
The server will have level 5 skills. However, they wont have any "lucky effect" that was included in the 22xx version.
Regarding skills, a lot of modifications have been made in the name of balance, we will give more info about this later on.
We have done some modifications to add some extra elements to the game, for example:
- Wis staff/scythe.
- Dex shields for sorcs and enchanters
- Dex guard arm for life and rune
- No dex armors/helmets above 260 dex in game
- 160wis+ hammer open for all both life, rune and shadows
Dual Class system:
This system has been crafted in such a way that will require a lot of effort to achieve. We plan on a long-term server, and this is a long-term system.
We have A LOT of events ready for the first month server launch. Expect there to be enough challenges for both you and your guild !
PvP medal system
Our medal shop system is a great addition to the game. You can use the medals you earn from PvP to buy extra unique gear, restock with potions or even metals and gems to use to enchant your equipment. We know that this is nothing new, but as far as i know we are the first to actually balance the items for medal prices with actual farming time on mobs.
We will be running a donation system.
We will NOT let players donate for metals.
We will NOT allow players to donate for high-end equipment.
Our donation system is set to make sure it brings as little unbalance to the game as possible, and as a general rule you can find better gear in the game over time than what you can get for donating. More exact info on this will come later on, but what i can say is that so far 99% of the people who have seen whats in the donation system have been very acceptive of it and they feel confident that this will not jeopardize the balance of the game.
Security and Hack Protection
At this stage, we feel we have adequate and sufficient security and hack protection which should solve a lot of hacking issues. We have also done a lot of work to fix as many exploits as we can. We are not going to tell you that our server is 100% secure, but we do hope that with the help of you the community and with what we have implemented, we will stop or catch everyone who is interacting with hacks in the game.
We will be running a ZERO tolerance for hack/bug abuse, and no excuses will be accepted. All abuse will result in automatic deletion of accounts. More exact rules regarding these issues will be given before we launch the server.
