Electronic Arts to Buy Crytek?

A report in a german Newspaper suggests that EA may like to be more than just a publisher for Crytek and their upcoming game Crysis. EA sees Crytek as a "very interesting candidate" for an acquisition (purchase). If EA and Crytek do follow through with these early reports, then EA will get full rights to CryEngine2 and so we may see many more games using this engine in the future.

Some may see this as bad news, some may see it as good? I am personally a bit worried about this move as not only are EA pushy when it comes to games (which leaves many games buggy on release), but they are a huge company which look like they are about to take over the whole industry. Gaming could soon become a monolopy for EA. Scary stuff...
