Angriper problemen med 4-kärniga processorer och vissa grafikkort, med mera!

Rockstar har nu släppt den utlovade stabilitetsuppdateringen till Red Dead Redemption 2 som förhoppnings avhjälper problemen som personer med 4-kärniga processorer upplevt. Under rubriken "Graphics & Performance Fixes" i patch-detaljerna hittas närmare 30 punkter och sedan ytterligare 18 under "Stability Fixes".

Det är heller inte allt då den också angriper diverse gränssnitt- och styrningsproblem, såsom att musen fungerat dåligt i vissa affärsmenyer. Eller att vissa tangentbordskommandon inte ville bindas om till andra knappar. Totalt hittas 67 olika åtgärdspunkter i patchen.

Graphics & Performance Fixes

  • Added an additional launch argument (-cpuLoadRebalancing) to rebalance workload on the CPU cores and avoid hitting an edge-case in certain NVIDIA graphics card drivers that causes significant stalls on 4-core and 6-core CPUs.   • Added improvements for performance and stability on graphics cards with 4GB of VRAM or less when using Vulkan

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in audio stuttering and sound drops on some CPUs when using Vulkan

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the game becoming stuck in Windowed Borderless mode instead of Fullscreen mode if the game lost focus or certain graphics settings were changed under DirectX 12

  • Fixed issues that resulted in the incorrect detection of devices and problems switching between SDR and HDR modes. Players who previously encountered these issues should enable HDR through the Windows Display Settings prior to launching the game

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the game launching in a window larger than the maximum resolution of the attached display when using Windowed display mode

  • Improved the auto-detection of system hardware so that the recommended default graphics settings will provide higher performance

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in the game setting a default graphics preset that was unsupported by the amount of available VRAM on some graphics cards, preventing the game from launching

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in VRAM usage estimation for pending settings changes to be slightly different to the actual usage once the settings were applied

  • Added a separate option to enable tessellation on tree models within the Graphics settings menu

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in reduced performance when switching between different graphics settings presets without restarting the system

  • Fixed an issue that affected the brightness of Photo Mode images that were captured in HDR after editing them using the Social Club menu

Jo, det är ju tyvärr nog sant... men det är ändå en princip sak. Här ger de oss valet att köpa det på lite olika butiker efter en månads tid, något jag absolut vill sätta mitt stöd bakom. Visst, man måste nog använda Socialclub ändå, men det är iaf ett... 18/11 Samma för mig, bytte dator men behöll grafikkortet. får identiskt FPS på nya datorn som med gamla datorn med samma inställningar?!?!? 18/11 Du kommer ju mest troligt behöva rockstar launchern ändå (eller social club). 18/11 Kunde inte sagt det bättre. Får i princip aldrig hypevansinne över något nytt släpp numer. Faktum är att jag inte hade planer på att skaffa RDR2 med tanke på att jag ogillade ettan. Men eftersom jag och kompisarna kör GTAV Online ganska ofta och har bli... 16/11 Jäkligt tråkigt att det ska bli så här. Det konstiga är att alla, inklusive mig själv, glömmer bort vilka problem som i stort sett alltid uppstår vid release. Speciellt om hypen inför spelets ankommande är stor så är det en ännu större kollektiv minnesf... 16/11 Altså... blir fan inte klok på dehär skitspelet. Innan senaste patchen så gled det på ganska bra. Nu efter patchen så använder jag samma inställningar men får skitdålig framerate. Märkte det mest på att gräset inte såg så bra ut och att det renderades fram 2meter framför hästen. Fick sitta en bra stund igår och ställa tillbaka alla inställningar till korrekta värden. 15/11 I och med patchen så sattes alla mina grafikinställningar till "low" automatiskt.
