Sony har köpt anime-streaming-servicen Crunchyroll för dryga 1 miljard dollar. Det finns rapporter från tidigare i år om att Sony redan då försökte att köpa upp servicen för $957 miljoner. Ny tyckts det dock som om Sony fick öppna sin plånbok lite vidare för att genomföra köpet.
Sony bekräftade nyheten via ett pressmeddelande där VD:n Kenichiro Yoshida även kommenterade köpet.

I sista stycket nämns ordet ”unified” som kan tyckas vara ett lite intressant ordval. Är tanken måntro att Crunchyroll kommer ingå i Playstation Plus i framtiden?
