I helgen plockade #Activision bort den populära #Modern Warfare 2-kartan Favela från servrarna efter att klagomål lyfts från islamiska spelare. I ett av badrummen på kartan fanns tavelramar där profeten Mohammed citerades och enligt en tolkning av religionens föreskrifter får sådana inne finnas i badrum, virtuella eller ej. I ett officiellt uttalande från Activision till Kotaku är de tacksamma för att det uppmärksammades då i inga avseenden vill skymfa kulturella eller reliögiosa värderingar och de arbetar för att återföra banan i rotationen utan nämnda text.

We are urgently working to release a Title Update to remove the texture from Modern Warfare 3. We are also working to remove the texture from Modern Warfare 2 through a separate Title Update. Until the TU is ready, we have removed the Favella multiplayer map from online rotation.
