G2A stoppat från att sponsra League of Legends-proffs

#League of Legends-skaparen #Riot Games har stoppat G2A.com, en sajt som säljer cd-nycklar, från att sponsra professionella LoL-lag, skriver The Daily Dot.

På G2A.com listas dels tredjepartstjänster som säljer League of Legends-konton, dels erbjuds "elo boosting services", och detta bryter bland annat mot spelets användarvillkor. På Riots begäran har G2A-sponsrade klaner som Cloud9, H2K, Counter Logic Gaming med flera tagit bort allt G2A-relaterat från sina team.

Brytningen med G2A gjordes redan den 18 i september, skrev Riots J. Eckert på Reddit i förrgår. Han säger att man inte har några planer på att ändra beslutet.

It's pretty on point minus one key part, we've already formally banned them as a sponsor as of September 18th, and have no plans to reconsider the decision at this time.
This was NOT a decision we made lightly, and came after many weeks of back and fourth conversations with G2A to find a resolution, which we were not able to reach an agreement on. We do not at all enjoy affecting the income of the teams, but the LCS rules include guidelines specifically against this sort of thing. We did however keep teams in the loop during the process in an attempt to avoid any surprises.

G2A är, inte helt överraskande, irriterade på att Riot portat dem som sponsor. I ett uttalande återgivet av PCGamesn kallar man beslutet "en aggressiv attack mot hela e-sportscommunityn i ett misslyckat försök att dominera och kontrollera hela industrin". Vidare tror G2A att beslutet "har kapacitet att få negativa följder för e-sportare, särskilt under den här fantastiska perioden när framtidstron på e-sportevents är så stor."

Vidare säger G2A att man försökt komma överens och samarbeta med Riot på många sätt, men att den senare mötte dessa försök med "fler och fler krav". Man säger sig ha sponsrat e-sporten med mer än 6 miljoner dollar (cirka 48 miljoner kronor) det senaste året, och man kallar Riots beslut orättvist.
