Redan under förra årets E3-mässa nämnde #Konami att de påbörjat arbetet med en film som bygger på #Metal Gear och dess hjälte Solid Snake. Sedan dess har det dock vara tyst om det hela, fram tills inatt det vill säga. Under sitt föredrag på DICE tillkännagav nämligen Yair Landau från Sony Pictures att de arbetar på filmen tillsammans med Hideo Kojima:
We're working with the Metal Gear guys. It's a very cinematic game, it really lends itself to movie telling. But the question is, 'How do you translate Snake's experience into a full arc that conforms to what audiences expect on the large screen?'
