Mellan december 2014 och november 2015 släppte Telltale sex avsnitt som tillsammans utgjorde deras första Game of Thrones-säsong. Redan strax efter säsongsfinalen stod det klart att en andra säsong var planerad. Drygt ett och ett halvt år senare står det istället klart att spelet läggs på is.
I en intervju med Eurogamer får Telltales Job Stauffer frågan om den andra säsongen av Game of Thrones släpps i samma veva som den efterlängtade The Wolf Among Us-fortsättningen.
Uhhh... no. Not long after the conclusion of the first season we said would be continuing, and we had designs on the future of Telltale's Game of Thrones. Right now that is on hold. We haven't announced it, which does not mean it's never coming but I think right now we're anxious to get back into Wolf, Walking Dead and Batman and see where things go with the narrative of the show before we really come back to the table with something we're excited about.
Stauffer tillägger att han inte får uttala sig och att studion i nuläget "återgått till att vara Game of Thrones-fans". Det ska förstås tilläggas att deras GoT hade både toppar och dalar. Samtidigt är det tråkigt att studion lovade något och ett antal månader senare ger fansen en kalldusch.
Vi kan konstatera att det är en dålig dag för Westeros-fans som vill ha Game of Thrones-spel.
